Here is Madam Vice President's schedule for the last Friday of March 2021:

1) In the morning, Madam Vice President administered the Oath of Office in a swear in ceremony for a new member of the Biden-Harris administration in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The then California's Attorney General Xavier Becerra was nominated during the transition period in the post of Secretary of Health and Human Services.

He was confirmed by the Senate on March 19th in a vote of 50-49, making him the First Hispanic and 25th Secretary of Health and Human Services.

2) Followed by another administering of the Oath of Office in a swear in ceremony in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Shalanda Young was nominated by the then President-elect and Vice President-elect to the post of Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

She was confirmed by the United States Senate by a vote of 63–37 on March 23rd, 2021.

3) She then joined President Biden in the Oval Office to receive the President's Daily Brief.

4) Then she departed the White House on board Marine Two for Joint Base Andrews, on route to Tweed New Haven Airport, New Haven, Connecticut where she was welcomed by Governor Ned Lamont

She was accompanied by the State of Connecticut's US Representative Rosa DeLauro, Senator, Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy. This is part of the American Rescue Plan tour.

5) Her first stop was to the Boys & Girls Club for a listening session. She was accompanied by Education Secretary, Secretary Miguel Cardona(who was previously Connecticut's commissioner of Education).

During her tour of the club, she spoke about the newly passed Plan, she spoke saying that the pandemic has exposed “fault lines” in our system. The administration’s American Rescue Plan will have a generational impact in addressing childhood poverty.

A roundtable discussion was held which featured Vice President Harris and Secretary Cardona as well as Beth Bye, commissioner of Connecticut’s office of Early Childhood, and other state political dignitaries was closed to the press.

She gave remarks on her visit saying that the group spoke about the increase in the number of reports of child neglect occuring in the state since the beginning of the pandemic and also discussed the mental health impact of the pandemic on children. Afterward she briefly took questions.

6) Then she departed for West Haven, where she visited the West Haven Child Development Center with Secretary Cardona and Rep. Rosa DeLauro who is also ChairWoman of the House Appopriations Committee where they stopped at the preschool classroom and greeted the children.

Madam Vice President spoke with the center's educators and said, "when a child is supported with the infrastructure that lets them know they are cared for, that lets them know they have beautiful brains that must be fed, that lets them know they will be safe ... [they] can and will be anything they chose.”

Sitting in the floor next to the children, Vice President told them they could be anything they want to be. She was impressed by what each child told her about their future.

This blog "Kamala Harris' Closet," was established by Zef Dalhia to follow the works and fashion of the newly elected Vice President Kamala Harris as she will soon begin her four year mandate serving the American people and its interest alongside President-Elect Joe Biden.

Like other style blogs created by Zef Dalhia(Queen Rania's Closet), I will be respectfully in making sure that Madame VP's work is a centrepiece while making sure that her fashion and style choices will be a supporting work.

This isn't a political blog, we can discuss the politics on twitter and the blog isn't affiliated in any shape or form with Ms. Harris, her office or the Biden-Harris government
