1) She administered an Oath of Office in a swear in ceremony to the new head of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (N.A.S.A).
On March 19th, President Biden announced his intention to nominate former Senator and astronaut Clarence William (Bill) Nelson II (D-FL) to lead the N.A.S.A. The Senate in unanimous consent voted to confirm Nelson to be NASA Administrator on April 29, 2021. Following his swear in ceremony, he became the NASA’s 14th administrator.
2) Later she administer a second Oath of Office in a swear in ceremony to the new head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
In January, President Biden announced his intention to nominate Ambassador Samantha Power to lead the United States Agency for International Development. Ambassador Power who was a former Ambassador of the United States to the United Nations was confirmed by the US Senate on April 28, 2021 by a vote of 68-26 to become the 19th Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development.
