Then Vice President Harris delivered remarks addressed the crowd and spoke about infrastructure plans the administration is currently working on. She began her statement by stating that the state has 28 bridges and numerous kilometers of roads that need to be repaired. Many rural regions in Nevada are in desperate need of high-speed internet connectivity. She also mentioned the need of safe and clean drinking water.

Her visit to the union was to solicit support for the administration's ambition to build the country's greatest infrastructure project in over a century.

Prior to giving her speech, the following leaders and elected officials addressed the audience:

  • Frank Hawk, Vice President and COO at the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters
  • Nick Lalpuis, Department of Labor Employment and Training Administrator
  • Rep. Steven Horsford
  • Rep. Susie Lee
  • Sen. Jacky Rosen
  • Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto
  • United Brotherhood of Carpenters member Amber McCoy
2) Then she stopped by a mobile vaccine clinic in Las Vegas where members of the community are getting their shots.
