MVP Kamala's schedule for May 4th

 1) She began the day by delivering remarks at the 2021 Virtual 51st Washington Conference on the Americas from the South Court Auditorium, Eisenhower Executive Office Building. 



The conference is hosted by the Council of the Americas. 

2) After she departed for Joint Base Andrews leaving at about 9:15 a.m. landing in General Mitchell International Airport, Milwaukee, Wisconsin about 11:30 a.m. for her first visit to the state since Jan 20th and was welcomed by Gov. Tony Evers, Democratic Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin and U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Milwaukee).



3) Then she left for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she toured the clean energy laboratories and touted American Rescue $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan.



She was accompanied by Professor Adel Nasiri and Imagen Chief Technology Officer Ezana Mekonnen and heard about the energy research and electronic vehicle batteries.

The vice president asked a few follow-up questions about the research, real world applications and jobs.

4) Then she participated in a roundtable discussion about the investments in research and development proposed in American Infrastructure jobs plan.



She was joined by Wisconsin U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin(D-WI), U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI 4th District), university and business leaders, researchers, teachers, etc.
