Here is Madam Vice President's schedule for Thursday:

1) In the morning, she joined President Biden in the Oval Office to receive the President's Daily Briefings.

2) Later, she once again joined President Biden in the Rose Garden to deliver remarks on the rising gun problems facing the country. First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden was in attendance. They were accompanied by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Giving her remarks, Madam Vice President said that during her time as California's attorney general she reminisced working and discussing with the then Vice President Biden to reduce gun violence and his work resulted in nearly two dozen actions, from narrowing the gun show loophole to expanding funding for mental health services.

She also spoke about the then Senator Biden who worked and won twice against the gun lobbies by working to pass the Brady Handgun Violation [Violence] Prevention Act. The act established a background check system and has kept more than 3 million firearms out of the hands of dangerous people. A year later, he worked to pass another law to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines for 10 years.
