MVP Kamala's schedule for April 21st
1) President Biden delivered remarks on the COVID-19 and the state of the vaccine. It was announced by the CDC that 200 million shots have already been administered. Vice President Harris was in attendance.

2) Then she departed for Congress, where she attended the celebration of life memorial of the late Congressman Representative Alcee Hastings in the Statuary Hall of Congress.
Representative Hastings served as a member of the United States House of Representatives for Florida's 23rd congressional district from 1993 to 2013 and Florida's 20th congressional district from 2013 until his death. He passed away on April 6th
3) After the memorial ceremony, she went to the Senate floor for senate business.
i) First she was on hand for a procedural vote in the case she was needed for a possible 50-50 tie, but her vote wasn't necessary after Senator Murkowski, (R-Alaska) broke with her Republican colleagues to vote for Vanita Gupta, the Biden-Harris nominee for the post of associate Attorney General.
In a 51-49 vote, Vanita Gupta becomes the first woman of color Associate Attorney General.
ii) She remained in the Senate for another procedural vote where she casted her 4th tie break vote for Motion to Discharge from the Army Services Committee PN79-6 for Colin Hackett Kahl to be Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.
This was Vice President Harris' first tie break vote for a Biden-Harris administration nominee. Colin Kahl was confirmed on a 51-50 vote to become the No. 3 civilian position at the Pentagon.
