To begin this new working day, Madam VP's schedule was a busy one. She began with her two hour meeting with President Biden at the Oval office for the Presidential Daily briefing which was a close door briefing.

Then after she went to Roosevelt Room to swear in the new Secretary of Defense Retired Army Veteran Lloyd Austin who was confirm last week by the Senate. Secretary Austin marked history by being the first black Secretary of Defense.

Which was followed by another meeting with President Biden, Sec. Austin and Mark Milley the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Oval Office where the President signed an Executive Order which reverse the previous president's executive order allowing everyone eligible to enlist and serve in the military regardless of who they are. 

Then a press briefing on American manufacturing and the Signature of the Buy American Executive Order was held at the Brady Press Room.
