In an effort to build public trust in the COVID-19 vaccine, Vice President elect Kamala Harris accompanied by her husband Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff publicly and infront of cameras received the first doses of the Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccin.

The vaccine was administered at United Medical Center in Washington, D.C., by Patricia Cummings, clinical nurse manager at the hospital.

Before receiving the vaccine, Kamala was heard saying “let’s do it, I am ready,” to the nurse.
