Virtual Meetings with some governors

 On Thursday November 19th, the Biden-Harris Transition team met for another virtual meeting at Queen's center in Delaware. This time the incoming President and Vice President hosted ten governors, members of the National Governors Associations.

Amongst them included a bipartisan governors the NGA's chairman Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York state, Vice Chair Gov. Hutchinson of Arkansas, Gov. Hogan of Maryland state, Gov. Whitmer of Michigan, Gov. Ivey of Alabama, Gov. Polis of Colorado, Gov. Carney of Delaware,  Gov. Herbert of Utah, Gov. Baker of Massachusetts, and Gov. Grisham of New Mexico.

During the meeting, they discussed the states' needs in their response to the coronavirus pandemic, the governors support and the attempts led by the current and outgoing president in obstructing a peaceful transition.

President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris each affirm their administration's full support and how the federal government will be working together with state and local government in combating COVID-19 as well as the relief which the Biden-Harris administration will be releasing to help cover the cost of the ongoing pandemic response on state level.

After Mrs. Kamala Harris gave remarks which reaffirmed what was agreed on during the meeting: 

"Our message to them and all of our state and local leaders is simple: the President-elect and I will make sure you have the resources and support you need to save lived and help get our economy back on track."
